A total of 273 victims of the April 2011 post-election violence in Bauchi State, are to benefit from the N37 million worth of relief package, provided by the State Government and Dangote Foundation.
Ishola Michael, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State, said in a statement on Thursday that the package would be distributed to the victims at their Sabon Garin Nabordo Camp on Saturday.
The statement said the package, to be distributed by Yuguda, include food, insecticide-treated mosquito nets, blankets, cooking utensils and cash.
“Each affected family will receive a cash assistance of N100,000 and N35, 000 worth of relief materials,” he said. “Only accredited and tagged victims will benefit from the gesture.”
