Benue tasks stakeholders on anti-HIV/AIDS crusade

BENUE State stakeholders in the campaign against HIV/AIDS have been urged to improve on their efforts in data provision to enable the Ministry of Health embark on effective implementation of policies and programmes.

The Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Orduen Abunku, disclosed this in Makurdi during a meeting with implementing partners to chat a way forward on how to put in place HIV/AIDS comprehensive service in the state.

Abunku pointed out that for any meaningful result to be achieved in the fight against the scourge, there must be regular supervisory visits to sites for proper monitoring.

In his remarks, Director of Public Health in the ministry, Dr. Joseph Kumba, lauded the efforts of the commissioner in the fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS in the state and called for sustenance to reduce the disease to the barest minimum.
