Boko Haram: President Buhari Receives Support From Britain

David Cameron, former Prime Minister of United Kingdom, promised to assist Nigeria in the war against Boko Haram insurgency.

British leader took to his official twitter account to vowed his country’s support to Nigeria.

It should be noted that President Muhammadu Buhari tries new strategy in Boko Haram war.

He has hit the ground running after assuming office, meeting Nigeria’s military chiefs and the leaders of neighbouring Niger and Chad, countries which have been assisting in the war against Boko Haram insurgency.

In his inaugural speech Buhari expressed his determination to tackle the militant sect. He declared the relocation of the military command and control centre from the capital Abuja, 800km (500 miles) to Maiduguri, the main city at the epicentre of the insurgency, until the conflict is resolved.

The president also visited G& summit seeking support of world leaders.

Meanwhile, Boko Haram has stepped up its attacks in commercial centres in the north with a series of attacks, comprisimg bombings, reminding the new government of the huge threat it still poses.
