Christy Essien’s last work for launch

Family of the late Nigerian music icon Christy Essien-Igbokwe shares some of her last ‘images’ in the deceased’s much-anticipated last effort, titled All of a sudden.

The media and VIP event has been scheduled to hold this Sunday at the Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos, where friends, associates and admirers of the Lady of Songs, as Essien Igbokwe’s was fondly called, are expected to gather to celebrate what promoters called ‘the heart, art and style of the popular singer.

All of a sudden, which is the highlight of the event, was due for release just before she passed on. The event is also expected to feature the re-launch of her foundation, which was focused on her passion for children. It was called the ‘Essential Childcare Foundation’, but to preserve her legacy, the family is renaming it as ‘The Christy Essien Igbokwe Foundation’.
