Ebonyi youths partner with police, others to curb crime

TO ensure crime-free Christmas and New Year celebrations in Ebonyi State, members of the Ebonyi Youth Assembly (EYA) have concluded arrangements to partner with security agencies in the state, including regular patrols of major towns and streets in the capital, Abakaliki.

National President of EYA, Chinedu Ogah, who disclosed this yesterday while speaking with journalists at the end of statewide “peace and security campaign” by the group, tasked parents to always endeavour to know the whereabouts of their wards.

Ogah noted that the state government had been doing the much it could to empower youths in the state. He regretted that most of the unemployed young people parading the streets lacked the requisite skills to make them employable.
