Goodluck Jonathan appoints Ismaila as FCDA boss

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mr. Adamu Ismaila as the new Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

Ismaila holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and M.Sc. Engineering (Project Management) from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

A statement signed by the FCT Permanent Secretary, Dr. Biodun Nathaniel Olorunfemi sent to The Guardian in Abuja said that the new Executive Secretary for the FCDA is a fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) and has 31 years post qualification experience.

The executive secretary, who has been a director in the Federal Capital Development Authority since 2007, was the Chief of Staff to the Minister of FCT between July 2007 and October 2008.

Meanwhile, President Jonathan has also approved the re-establishment of the Satellite Towns Development Agency (STDA) to help upscale the infrastructure in the satellite towns to bring it at par to facilities of the Abuja city centre.
