Irish firm assumes ownership of Imo company
TO ensure higher staff productivity and enhanced daily palm oil production, the Imo State government has formally handed over the management of the Imo Palm oil Company (formerly Adapalm Oil Company) to 45-year-old Irish firm, Roche.
This might rest speculations that Governor Rochas Okorocha had bought the three-decade-old palm oil firm.
Managing Director of the firm, Neil Danbe, said the company had a 35-year track record of “revamping, resuscitating and revitalising” comatose businesses across the world.
He added that Roche had the mandate of turning around the fortunes of the palm oil firm within eight months, which would lead to the eventual leasing of the company for 15 years.
