PRESIDENT Jonathan yesterday condoled with the Israeli Prime Minister, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, over the death of his father, Professor Emeritus, Ben-Zion Netanyahu
The Prime Minister’s father died on April 30, 2012 at the age of 102.
President Jonathan, in a letter of condolence to the Israeli Prime Minister, noted that the late Netanyahu, who died at his home in Jerusalem, “will be remembered among other accomplishments, for his invaluable contributions to the establishment of the State of Israel.”
President Jonathan enjoined the Netanyahu family and all Israelis to take solace in the reality that he lived a truly worthy and exemplary life.
The President, who described the death as painful, also prayed that God would grant the soul of the departed senior Netanyahu peaceful repose.
