THE benefits of the Multi-Door Court House were placed on the front burner by members of the Bar and the Bench, who met in Asaba, the Delta State capital yesterday.
Chairman of Asaba District of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (organisers of the seminar), Mr. Arthur Okafor, said the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) facilitates the dispensation of justice, cuts expenses and other inconveniences.
Okafor pointed out that with trained arbitrators, mediators and conciliators on matrimonial cases and other civil matters, the burden of the court in dealing with such trivial matters had been lessen.
He said: “At the High Court where cases are filed, these matters should be settled at multi-door court system when they are fully operational so that the regular court will have time for serious matters.”
