NASS Leadership: Tambuwal’s Aide Admonishes APC

Following events at the National Assembly yesterday, June 9, Malam Imam Imam, the media aide to Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto state, has urged the All Progressives Congress to gather itself and accept the outcome of the National Assembly elections.

Imam made the remarks through his Twitter handle @imamdiman this morning, Wednesday, June 10, while reacting to the NASS elections.

His tweets read thus: “Making further inflammatory remarks about what happened in NASS will only leave the APC more bruised when it should be convalescing.

“The APC should gather itself, accept the outcome of the National Assembly elections, and work with the new leaders to execute their mandates.

“In the midst of the confusion, I have seen enough from some lawmakers to make me believe our democracy is on sound footings.

“Some lawmakers, like Abdussamad Dasuki, Abdulmumini Jibrin and Zakari Muhammed have impressed. You just know these guys mean business.

“A sound economist, Hon Dasuki, who is taking over the seat vacated by @AWTambuwal, is a lawmaker to watch out for in the next four years.

“Rather than paint a picture of doomsday scenario, consider the fact that the lawmakers stood and upheld the supremacy of the Constitution.

“The South East can now see that APC is not the monster Okupe and FFK were labelling it to be. Bcos of national interest, Ekweremadu is DSP.

“I don’t belong to those who think @bukolasaraki and @doyakubu are less of APC members than Buhari, Tinubu or Tambuwal.

He enjoined all APC members to work with the new Assembly leaders in order for them to execute their mandates, adding that making further inflammatory remarks about what happened in NASS will only leave the party more bruised when it should be convalescing.
