THE Bauchi State Command of the National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has disclosed that it arrested over 130 drug suspects and seized 836.310kgs of cannabis sativa, 2.83kgds of exol-5 and 3.11kgs of diazepam in 2011 in Bauchi between January and December last year.
The state Commander of the NDLEA, Sule Momodu told The Guardian that out of the 130 arrested, 93 were charged to court while 37 who were nabbed in smoking joints were counseled, rehabilitated and released to their guardians and parents and placed under the command’s watch.
Momodu stated that the command also seized one vehicle and three motorcycles during the period which are awaiting forfeiture by the Federal High Court.
