Ugwuanyi said since assumption of office on May 29, his administration had introduced a couple of new things and likewise gotten awareness of some challenges of the people.

“We wanted to check the actual number of workers in each local government area and since our visits, attendance to work has improved. We were touched by the plight of the people at the various places we visited, particularly the public schools and hospitals.

“The government is willing to make life meaningful for our people but our bane is dearth of funds. We have tried the much we could to alleviate the sufferings of the people we met,”  he said.

This come days after former governor, Sullivan Chime, pleaded with those he may have offended in the course of his eight-year stay in office to forgive him.
