Okorocha introduces Walk for Life programme

IN his bid to ensure healthy living of workers in Imo State, Governor Rochas Okorocha has asked all workers in the private and public sectors; and political appointees in the state to commence a weekly physical exercise, tagged: Walk for Life.

Okorocha gave the directive at the weekend at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, while flagging off the weekly Walk for Life exercise in the state.

According to him, the exercise, which involved the Deputy Governor, Jude Agbaso, commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants, among others, was introduced to help people burn out calories and fats for healthy living.

Okorocha directed that next week’s exercise would be tagged: Jude Agbaso Walk for Life.

In his speech, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Kenneth Emelu, commended the governor for introducing the programme, promising that he would ensure strict compliance.
