Old Age Will Limit My Performance: Buhari Under Fire For Expressing Doubts

In the space of 1 month, President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed doubts to take on the challenges ahead of him and this has sparked reaction from Nigerians on social media.

It would be recalled that on May 6, 2015, President Buhari expressed his nervousness over Nigerians’ expectations of him, which he described as “too high”. Buhari said this at a meeting with newly elected APC governors at Defence House, Abuja.

Just a month after, President Buhari who will turn 73 in December, admitted again that age would limit his performance as Nigeria’s president.

This comment by the president has generated a high fuss on social media as Nigerians are beginning to wonder if the President has what it takes to execute the changes he promised.

He answered the presenter that he Buhari will outrun him d presenter in a race. APC supporters clapped and we moved on. Today same supporters are here talking about Buhari being honest with his speech. You, our politicians know too well about us. Yorubas and Hausas will attack me here without even considering my point just bc I am Igbo and support PDP. The truth is, can u beat ur chest now and claim you knew Buhari would say this someday? There is no sincerity in this man. He is a SCAM, has always been and will never change. I pity those of you who got fooled. We have already seen his gaffes as a result of old age and more are coming.
