PHOTOS: U.S Ambassador Pays Senate President A Visit
James F Entwistle, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, today, June 18, visited Nigeria’s Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
Entwistle visited Saraki, nine days after he emerged as the Senate president.
Saraki, who is representing Kwara Central was elected unopposed by 57 of 108 Senators, with 51 Senators missing.
A mock election, provided by the leadership of the APC on Saturday, June 6, produced Senator Ahmed Lawan (Borno) as the party’s candidate for the Senate Presidency.
Ahmed Lawan, who lost to Saraki faulted the process and promised to go ahead with his bid regardless of the outcome of the ‘primaries’ or the decision of the party.

Meanwhile, the senate president has denied the claim that National Assembly members will be receiving N8.64 billion as wardrobe allowance. He stated that the actual amount is N506,600 per year for each senator.
