IN its renewed efforts to end the Boko Haram killings and bombings in Borno State, the Nigeria Police has announced a cash reward of N1 million for individuals and groups that provide “useful information” that could lead to the arrest of hoodlums and other suspected criminals.
The reward extends to information being provided to the police for arrest and recovery of arms and ammunition in the state.
Spokesman of the Borno State Police Command, Samuel Tizhe, in a statement in Maiduguri, said arrest of hoodlums and recovery of arms and ammunition attract a cash reward of N1 million.
The statement read in part: “The command also wishes to assure members of the public that such information will be treated with utmost confidentiality. Ensuring peace and tranquility is the responsibility of all Borno indigenes and residents”.
