Rotary begins campaign against malaria

THE District Governor of Rotary International District 9110, Dr. Kamoru Omotosho has flagged off a fresh rotary crusade against malaria in Nigeria with a mobile campaign towards its “Roll Back Malaria” programme that would go round Lagos and Ogun states to enlighten the masses.

The campaign, which involves a mobile vehicle advertisement with a message on “Roll Back Malaria” is part of Rotary International’s humanitarian services to educate the masses through a motorised LED advertising medium, taking the fight against malaria to the doorstep of homes and offices.

Pointing out that malaria is one of the highest health challenges we have in the country, Omotosho called on every Nigerian to join hands in working towards its prevention, treatment and eradication. He believes the mobile advertisement would help in reaching out to a wider audience in high profile locations such as busy high streets, retail locations, open markets, rallies, at events and other locations.
