The different sides of Deola

SHE is fresh in the music scene but Adeola Ososami says that she has a lot up her sleeves. Following months of hard work, Deola recently stormed the country to conclude plans for the release of her debut effort, a mixtape titled Different sides of Me.

Set for release in the month of March, the London based artiste says that though some of the songs have been put out already, listeners are in for a swell time. “It is titled Different Sides of Me so there are different types of songs in there. It is a mixture of styles. I just want to showcase my style and what I can do. It is a mixture of afro pop, jazz soul.”

A ten tracker mixtape, the artiste whose stage name is simply Deola says that the songs talk about a whole lot of issues but mostly dwelling on love. Introducing a different blend of Afro hip hop, Deola features Tec from Show Dem Camp in the song Never Leave in addition to doing a cover of See Me from Brymo’s album.

“The music can be accessed internationally on the internet, but Nigeria is my home town so I will definitely want to get people from here behind me. That is why I decided to come home to promote the mixtape,” she said.

Moodini, CEO of London based record label, Lunakidz on which Deola is signed says that the artiste comes with something different. “I find her voice very unique and interesting and I feel she has something to add to the industry in terms of what we have now at the moment. We definitely need to have a few variations and that is what Deola is offering,” he adds.
