Transfer Report: 5 Nigerians Likely To Move To Big Clubs This Summer

The transfer window is open for top European clubs who are looking to improve their squads ahead of the 2015/2016 football season.

First is Watford Fc’s top striker and hot sensation, Odion Ighalo who banked in 20 goals in just 22 starts and 12 substitute appearances.

The former Julius Berger striker has not had an easy spell in Europe but his season in Watford has been massive for his Career.

Ighalo who scored his first goal for Nigeria against Chad last weekend is wanted by Swansea, who recently signed Ghanian hot shot Andre Ayew.

Swansea is said to have tabled a bid of 8 million pounds for the poacher.

Liverpool might have to act fast as the duo of Inter milan and Milan are looking to snatch up the tough tackling midfielder.

Nigeria’s top striker did not have the best of time, this past year at his Turkish club Fenerbahce but that won’t stop top clubs from vying for his signature.

His bullish style has always delighted Premier league clubs who see the second coming of a young Yakubu Aiyegbeni in the striker.

Emenike problem however is that he won’t come cheap as Fenerbahce values the efforts of Emenike at over 15 million pounds which could scare off the likes of Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool who are looking for possible replacements for Sterling.

The Chelsea Midfielder seems to be no longer needed by his Coach, Jose Mourinho who has been linking up replacement for his prodigy.

Rumours have suggested that Mikel is close to joining Al Ain in UAE, but some European clubs still want the efforts of Nigeria’s number 10.

These clubs are Fenerbahce and Juventus, but Mikel seems more likely to go for the money despite being only 28 years old.

These Nigerians will all be looking to follow on the footsteps of Kanu Nwankwo, Jj Okocha and Babayaro who paved the way for Nigerians perfoming on the big stage.
