Uduaghan condoles with monarch’s family

GOVERNOR Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has commiserated with His Royal Majesty (HRM) Ogbon Ogoni Oghoro 1, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom and the entire Olomu kingdom over the death of their princess, Mrs. Elizabeth Ogbon-Day.

In a condolence statement issued in Asaba, the governor said that Ogbon-Day was an intelligent woman of many parts who faced life challenges with courage.

“She was a devout Baptist minister, an ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a national patriot and an advocate of the Urhobo who promoted the Urhobo culture at every given opportunity”, he stated.

He recalled that Ogbon-Day was also a politician who at a time aspired to be the president of Nigeria.

Uduaghan prayed God Almighty to grant the family and the people of Olomu the fortitude to bear the loss.
