UNILAG hosts ‘World Philosophy Day’

LEADING academics from across the country and beyond would today gather at the Faculty of Arts, University of Lagos (UNILAG), as part of activities to mark this year’s edition of the “World Philosophy Day”.

Organised by the Centre for African Culture and Development, the theme of this year’s one-day conference is “Misconception about African intellectual heritage”.

Renowned Nigerian academic and Man of Letter, Prof. Adebayo Williams, would chair the event while Prof. Dupe Ogunlesi is special guest of honour.

Dean, Faculty of Arts, UNILAG, Prof. Duro Oni, is host while the famed Professor of African Philosophy, Mrs. Sophie Oluwole, is chief host.

The event will hold at the Arts Theatre, Faculty of Arts, UNILAG at 9.00 a.m. prompt.
