What Buhari Needs To Deliver

A national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, has appealed to Nigerians to exercise patience with President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to Onu, President Buhari needs time to deliver his vows to the people.

Onu, who was a former governor of the old Abia state, said that Buhari made shocking discoveries about the magnitude of the nation’s problems barely one week after assuming office.

The ex-governor stated this while receiving APC leaders of Igbo extraction in the Federal Capital Territory, who paid him a courtesy call in his Abuja residence on Saturday.

Onu explained that the problems the president discovered were much more than what the party campaigned with a promise to solve.

He said, “We all know that when you want to build a house, you have to build a house that can withstand all seasons, such building must have a strong foundation so that it can withstand a strong wind from blowing it off.

“What the President is doing is to make sure that he takes off on a smooth note. We want to avoid mistakes so in doing that, there would be room for effective planning for the country. The idea is that once we take off, President Buhari would move in the right direction that would usher in prosperity in the country.”

However, Onu expressed confidence that Buhari has what it takes to deliver on his promise and solve the problems facing the nation.

Meanwhile, the cyberspace was awash with the apparent appointment of Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu as the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) by President Muhammadu Buhari last week.

However, hours after the reports, the APC came out to say that President Muhammadu Buhari was yet to make such appointment. The APC claimed that their twitter handle was hacked by dubious individuals who made the announcement
