Nigeria Police Discover Stolen Vehicles Depot In Anambra State

The Anambra State Police Command on Monday discovered a stolen vehicles depot at Nkpor Community, near Onitsha in Anambra. 

The discovery of the depot was made when armed robbers snatched a Toyota Camry car equipped with a tracking device from the owner at gunpoint in Nkanu, Enugu State.

Mr Emeka Chukwuemeka, the Anambra State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident on Monday, said that the depot was discovered, using a tracking machine.

Chukwuemeka said that the wife of the suspected owner of the stolen cars depot had been helping to track down her husband who fled on sighting the police.

Narrating the police operation to newsmen, Mr Kanayo Uzuegbu, the Ogidi Divisional Police Officer said: “on arrival with the owner of the said stolen car to the depot, five brand new vehicles was seen littering the compound.

“Those in the depot (compound) on sighting the police fled out of the compound.

“We have sealed off the depot, recovered the Camry and five other cars while investigation is still on,” Uzuegbu said.
