PDP_News_11-4-11_4.32.51_PMCHIEFTAINS of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State yesterday put aside their political differences to pay their last respect to former governor of the state, Lam Adesina, who died on November 11, this year.

Former Chairman of the State Water Corporation, Nureni Akanbi led the team to the 40th days Fidau of the late former governor.

Akanbi and an aide of the former governor, Alhaji Audu Morafa said the prayers for the repose of Adesina.

The ruling Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) was led by governor Abiola Ajimobi; his deputy, Moses Alake-Adeyemo; Speaker, Monsurat Sumonu; and Senator Femi Lanlehin, the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Inter-Governmental Affairs.

In his sermon, Alhaji Abdul-Mojeed Oke-Eleta reminded political office holders of the vanity of life and urged them to prepare for death.

The cleric then urged politicians to take a cue from the late Adesina and his legacies.

He pointed to the people-oriented policies of the late former governor, which he enjoined Ajimobi to build on.
