OGUN State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun yesterday locked out hundreds of civil servants at the state secretariat complex for reporting late to work.

Among them were Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Assistants, Permanent Secretaries, Directors and senior and junior Civil servants.

Amosun had arrived at the secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta that also houses the Governor’s office, before 7.30am, official time for resumption and ordered that the two main entrances to the complex be locked.

Majority of the workers who arrived after 7.30am were surprised to see the gates locked. They were informed by the security that the gates were locked on the orders of the governor; hence, none of them would be allowed to enter.

Most of the workers who feared the consequences of their act began to panic.
