Ogun tasks industrialists on gas project

THE Ogun State government has enjoined industrialists in the state to take advantage of the new gas pipeline network to be situated along the Otta-Abeokuta axis to reduce their production costs.

The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Bimbola Ashiru, gave the advice yesterday during a facility tour of Midland Galvanizing factory in Abeokuta.

Ashiru, in a statement, noted that the immense benefit derivable from the gas pipeline would go a long way in minimising power challenge, which would lead to drastic reduction in the cost of production and eventually cheaper finished products.

stated that the Governor Ibikunle Amosun administration has intensified efforts on facilitating quick completion of the project, calling for centralised independent power project in the area for easy access to the gas project on completion.
