Club chiefs, league body meet Tuesday

The Nigeria FA have called club bosses and the league caretaker body to a meeting to resolve the ongoing impasse between them. The meeting is billed for next Tuesday in Abuja.

NFF general secretary Musa Amadu told MTNFootball.com: “We are concerned over the latest development in the league between the club owners and the league club owners.

“To this end the NFF president Aminu Maigari, who is presently in Morocco, has directed me to invite the club owners and the LMC to a meeting next week so we can resolve all the issues.

“We also appeal to the club owners to allow status quo remain until the meeting because we do not want the smooth running of the league to be truncated.”

The club bosses have disowned the caretaker body and directed NPL executive secretary Tunji Babalola to take charge of the running of the seven-week-old league.
