Chime Hails Rangers Over NPL Glory

THE Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Iheanacho Chime has congratulated Rangers International for emerging champions of this year’s Nigerian Premier League which ended across the nation yesterday.

Rangers beat Sharks of Port Harcourt 3-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu to claim victory.

In a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information, Chuks Ugwoke, Gov Chime praised the team “for your gallantry and exceptional discipline which culminated in the victory. On behalf of the Enugu State government, I congratulate the players, officials and supporters of Rangers for this great feat.”

With yesterday’s result, Rangers ended the league on 64 points, same as Pillars but the Enugu side won it based on superior goal difference.
