Olubolade Scores Fayemi Low On Infrastructure, Assures On PDP’s Victory In 2014

OluboladeMINISTER of Police Affairs, Navy Capt Caleb Olubolade (rtd) yesterday expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will  defeat the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)  in the 2014 Governorship election in Ekiti State.

He said the ACN has disappointed the people of the state by its non performance which he said, had made the party vulnerable for defeat in the state

The Minister said , the lacklustre performance of the present administration in the area of infrastructure, was enough indication that the PDP will come to power in the next election.

“If you look at Ekiti today, you will see that nothing is happening. The question I want the people to ask them is that, what are they doing with our money?”.

Olubolade stated this after the PDP stakeholders’ meeting held to fine tune arrangement for smooth conduct of today’s Ward Congress across the country.

He hinged the problems bedevilling the State chapter of the PDP , especially the existence of various factions within the party on egocentric nature of some individuals, whom he accused of pursuing personal agenda at the expense of the corporate entity of the party.

For the PDP to reclaim the state ,  the former Bayelsa State Military Administrator urged its members to close rank and bury their differences to foster unity ahead of the onerous task .

He assured the PDP members that there won’t be any room for imposition of candidates in the party’s wards , Local Governments and State’s Congresses ,

Olubolade , however, clarified that the absence of the former Governor Segun Oni and PDP State Chairman, Mr Bola Olu-Ojo  at the meeting, where the likes of Mr Ayo Fayose and other notable PDP stalwarts attended did not create the impression that all was not well within the Party.

Fayose, who lauded the minister for taking steps to broker peace among the feuding groups said, no efforts will be spared to bring home all the aggrieved members of the party to prepare the PDP ahead of next election in the State.
