Zamfara disburses N280m on farming scheme

THE Zamfara State Fadama III project has disbursed N280 million to 682 farmer groups as part of its efforts to improve on the economic status of residents, North Western Zonal Coordinator of the project, Aminu Marafa, has stated.

Marafa, who disclosed this in an interview with reporters in Gusau at the weekend, said the Fadama User Groups (FUGs) were given the money as direct assistance from the project so that they could utilise it in producing more and close the poverty gap.
