His mum passed away on the 3rd October 2016. Sharing the sad news via his social media, he had this to say:

“Last night, my Angel left me, my first love stopped breathing and it’s the deepest pain I’ve ever felt. I love you for every sacrifice you made to make me the man i am today. I’ve loved you through the tough times, i’ve loved you through the happier days and all i can say at this point is that i love you forever. I will miss you mummy.” – Basketmouth

Basketmouth on October 6th via Instagram, shared this artistic picture he made of her late mum, captioned “R.I.P Mother” ?

According to family sources, Madam Felicia Okpocha (Basketmouth’s Mum) has been battling diabetes and high blood pressure for a while now, a condition that was under control until she started going spiritual.

A source said Madam Okpocha who died in her late 50s on October 3rd, resorted to prayer and fasting instead of using the insulin injection and drugs prescribed to her by doctors. Her health condition worsened the night before and she was rushed to the hospital where she gave up the ghost. ?
